Wind blows and waves my hair as well since I met them!

In an August hot, a day of unbearable sun trap, when only snakes and lizards ruled outdoors, I was sheltered in a massive, slightly fearsome building of the "Old School" in the village of “Exed Linden”. While hidden and absorbed in my photographic thoughts I faced the opportunity to "document" several Fairies that quite suddenly, and somehow with huge curiosity, appeared in the studio I was working at.

I have to admit, I was tempted! Nobody, never and nowhere captured Fairy with photographic camera. This exact phenomenon urged me and I, quickly and politely, invited them responsibly, to be seated on a wooden stool in front of wooden view camera.

They laughed and couldn’t believe they will be “documented” for some special “Fairy file” that nobody ever, and for any reason, up till now, did not begun. Even though they were with the wind spread hair mildly excited "are they pretty enough" for the photographer’s “eye”, they stood half-smiling and somehow absorbed with their own affairs while I was taking their picture.

Here, I present few samples, series of images, to the viewer’s attention. Portraits are shot on Effke film plates with size 4” x 5”. The flowers incorporated could be seen in the major’s garden of the village of the Axed Lindens.

The "parchment" - is result of my second attempts to create a handmade paper, size 30 cm x 40cm. The prints are baked with Van Dyke photographic emulsion, dried under a Pine tree on which noisy squirrels were chasing each other all day long, and then flattened in a book - nibbled by hungry mice.

If the image somehow changes, pales or fades right in front of your eyes, it is not my fault, but result of the Fairy’s vagaries!

Somebody pinched a Daisy in my hair since I met them!
